cTrader

cTrader is a relatively new online trading platform offering a wide range of features. It was initially presented in 2011 by Spotware Systems. Since then, a lot of enhancements have been made and now, cTrader is licensed to numerous forex brokers that offer No-Dealing Desk (NDD) and Electronic Communication Network (ECN) model of orders execution. This means that customers trade with a real counterparty (Liquidity provider). Clients terminal provides live streaming quotes of financial instruments, charts and the ability to place market and pending orders. The software developer claims that dealing desk intervention by brokers is impossible. Thus, the platform eliminates the conflict of interest that usually exists between broker and client.

cTrader presents the market in depth (Level II Pricing) and shows the full range of executable prices coming directly from the liquidity providers. Orders are fulfilled within a few milliseconds using the Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) technology.

There are different layouts, customizable templates, light and dark color themes. A list of the most traded instruments can be created in the Watchlists tab. Available technical indicators include common trend indicators, oscillators and volatility. In addition, customers can create their own indicators in C#, download other ones, or combine them. Objects and indicators can be modified according to the needs of traders.

The platform provides single-chart, multi-chart and free-chart modes. There are 26 time-frames available, including non-standard 2 and 4-minute, as well as 12-hour ones. Charts can be also used as a trading tool. Traders can open, close, modify orders, and track the results of their current positions within the charts. They can detach any chart to a stand-alone, tradable window. There is a ChartShots button that captures the current chart view for further use.

Traders can easily switch between their demo and live accounts, as well as the algorithmic platform cAlgo and the social trading platform cMirror. The current trading session is shown at the bottom of the platform – e.g. London, Tokyo, New York etc.

The platform cTrader is available as a web-based version, as well as a mobile application for iOS and Android devices.
