UK forex broker ActivTrades PLC provides for trading the well-known MetaTrader 4 platform and its own developed web application called ActivTrader.
The web-based platform can be run on every computer with an Internet connection and doesn’t require any download or installation. The platform looks simplified and suitable for beginners.
There are three main windows containing instruments, charts and trades. Initially there are four currency pairs presented in the instrument lists. They can be displayed as lines or as cubes. Lines only show current prices, while cubes allow clients to specify trading settings, such as quantity, take profit and stop loss levels, and to open positions from the Buy and Sell buttons directly. Other asset classes are available from the Add Symbol button. They are organized in five categories – Metals, Cash Indices, CFD forward, Majors, Minors and Exotics. Instruments can be added by typing their names into the Search Symbol box.
Customers can choose between trading with one or two clicks. Scalpers will appreciate the 1-click trading option. Once the order parameters are set into the cube, opening of positions is only one click away. ActivTrades offers an instant order execution model, where stop-loss and take-profit can be set before entering the market. Open positions are listed in the Trades Window and can be modified or closed here. History tab is located next to the Trades tab and shows past deals. The New Order button on the top of the workspace also allows placing of market or pending orders.
Charts window occupy the major part of the workspace. There are 9 time-frames – from 1 minute to 1 month. Customers can choose between light and dark themes, normal candles, bars or lines. Graphical objects include trend lines, support/resistance lines, geometric shapes and Fibonacci retracements. There are nearly 80 indicators thematically arranged. Buy and Sell buttons are incorporated into the chart window and if 1-click trading is enabled, deals can be made significantly faster. Chart window is organized in tabs, so that customers can add as many charts as they would like.
