The company Cresco Capital Markets (UK) Limited operates under a trade name CrescoFX. It is a British brokerage firm that is authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and has developed its own web-based trading platform called Cresco Trader.
The platform looks well-arranged and with plenty of features. There are three modules and а main bar at the top of the workspace. The assets available for trading are in the left module. The main menu here is the Product Library menu. Here you can edit and arrange the asset table by adding or removing available columns. There are tabs for the different options. You can add a new instrument group here – for example all the instruments that are in the “Breakout Pattern” model. You can create your new watchlist of assets by selecting “Add to Watchlist” from any context menu. Each line shows the low and the high prices, daily changes, and the buttons Sell and the Buy. Clicking the instrument name opens it chart into the chart module.
Orders can be placed by clicking the sell or buy buttons. The Trade window opens and here you can set the type of order (market, limit, stop), the amount and the associated stop loss and take profit orders. Clicking the Place order button opens the position or places the pending order.
Already open positions can be viewed in the Position module at the bottom of the platform. They are shown as a triangle in the charts. Pending orders are visualized as lines and you can modify them by dragging and dropping them to the desired price.
The chart module is on the right. All features are accessible from the menu buttons located at the top and the bottom of this module. There are buy and sell buttons in the chart and you can trade directly from here.
Charts can be maximized and occupy the entire workspace or can be opened in a new browser tab. You can search for instruments and add them to a new chart window. Up to four charts can be displayed in the multi-chart view layout. Chart types include candlesticks, HeikinAshi, bars, lines, area, and spread. Time frame starts from one second and can be up to a month. Zooming can be done by the dedicated buttons or by the mouse scroll wheel.
Graphical objects include different types of lines, geometric shapes, text, and Fibonacci retracement.
Technical indicators are available from the Technicals menu. Each graphical object and technical indicator can be added as a favorite that can be accessed quickly from the Favorites menu.
The Settings button allows all chart properties to be customized including axis style, axis time, cursor type, font, and color.
All modules can be synchronized by connecting them with the same color from the corresponding menu. In this way, each module will display appropriate information for the selected instrument.
The main bar is at the top containing account information such as account balance, margin requirements, current profit/loss, and account history. All the platform settings can be made here. You have access to several trading tools such as Reuter news (available for live accounts only), an economic calendar and pattern recognition tools.
Overall, the platform is well organized and functional. It provides even more than all the necessary tools for trading and is suitable for all types of traders. For those who prefer MetaTrader 4, the company also offers it for use.
