Skilling Trader

The company Skilling Ltd. operates under a trading name Skilling. It is regulated by Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) and has developed its own web-based platform called Skilling Trader.

The platform looks nice and tidy. There are three main sections in the workspace.

The assets available for trading are in the left section. Each line shows the sell and the buy prices, daily percentage and net changes, and the highest and lowest values for the day. There is a search box and you can add a new instrument to the list by typing its name. You can rearrange or delete instruments from the Edit button next to the search box.

Orders can be placed by clicking the sell or buy buttons. The Trade window opens and here you can set the type of order (market, or pending, which here is called just order) the amount and the associated stop loss and take profit orders. Clicking the BUY/SELL button at the bottom of this window opens the position or places the pending order. Already open positions can be viewed in the next module, which consists of three tabs: Open position, Orders and History. Here you can modify and close one or all positions at once.

The chart module is next to the instruments. Open positions and associated stop and limit orders appear here as lines and you can modify and close them directly from the lines. The trade window can be invoked from by clicking the instrument name button at the top of the window.

Charts can be maximized and occupy the entire workspace. Chart types include candlesticks, HeikinAshi, bars, lines, area, and some other not so known types. Time frame starts from one minute to one month. You can compare two or more instruments as a percentage change. Zooming can be done by the dedicated buttons or by the mouse scroll wheel. Graphical objects include different types of lines, measurement tool, text, and Fibonacci retracement. Over 80 technical indicators are available from the Indicators menu and can be configured via the Edit indicator window. The Chart settings button allows all colors to be customized. All functions, including chart trading, are available as a right-click context menu.Overall, the platform is simple and intuitive. It provides all the necessary features for basic trading and is suitable for all types of traders. For more experienced traders, the company offers the well-known cTrader.
